About Our Panelists


Mike Brown, Moderator

Mike Brown is our 2022 Panel Discussion moderator. He is a trainer, coach, consultant, and speaker with over 30 years of experience. He has been providing training, coaching, and HR solutions for clients on 5 continents for a wide variety of industries including non-profits, schools, and universities, including NC State.

Mike has a BA, Business Management, with a concentration in Human Resources from NC State University and is a BIG Wolfpack fan.  He and his wife, Denise live in Raleigh, NC and have 3 kids who recently graduated from college, one of which also graduated from NC State making them a 4th generation Wolfpacker.


Damon Moorer, Panelist

Damon previously served as TCM Bank’s chief operating officer and has over 20 years of experience in
the payments industry with expertise in credit products, loyalty, data security and operations. Prior to
joining TCM in 2009, Damon held several leadership positions with FIS and Capital One Financial. He is a
Certified Information Security Manager and a member of ISACA, which offers industry-leading
knowledge, standards, credentialing, and education for information security professionals. He holds a
Bachelor of Science in information systems security from the University of Phoenix and a Master of
Business Administration from the University of South Florida. He is also a graduate of the Florida School
of Banking.


Sarah Sassorossi, Panelist

Sarah Sassorossi is the Plant Superintendent of Sonoco Products Company’s Holyoke paper mill. As one of the youngest people at Sonoco to hold that job, she utilizes her background as a Process Engineer and Maintenance Manager to lead a department of nearly 50 individuals in the operation of a 24/7 paper machine. In her nearly 2 years as Superintendent, Sarah’s main focus areas have been on reducing machine downtime, improving the plant training systems, and streamlining internal communication processes.

Sarah is on the Steering Team of the Women@Sonoco business resource group and has been actively involved with the NC State Pulp and Paper Advisory Board (PPAB) since graduating in 2017. Serving as a member of the Individual Giving committee of the PPAB and mentoring Process Engineers and interns at Sonoco, Sarah gets great satisfaction from supporting students and young professionals on their own personal journeys.

She lives in Western Massachusetts with her wife, Deanna Sassorossi, and has enjoyed exploring all New England has to offer.


Kristina Brunelle, Panelist

Kristina Brunelle serves as the Head of RTI’s Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (EDIB), where she provides oversight of the of the Racial Justice and Equity (RJE) and Strategic Engagement and Belonging (SEB) programs. In this role she is responsible for the strategic plan and vision for EDIB. Prior to joining RTI, Ms. Brunelle was an organizational strategist who worked with multiple global companies, particularly in the areas of leadership development and diversity and inclusion. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and has delivered programs in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, El Salvador, Germany, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Mexico, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Tanzania, Uganda, the UK, the US, and Venezuela. Kristina holds a master’s degree from Harvard University, a BA from Tufts University, is a certified Executive Coach through William James College (formerly The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) and is certified in Organizational Consulting andChange Leadership through Georgetown University.
