Shelton Challenge Financial Assistance
Financial assistance applications are included in the Challenge application.
Please indicate on the application if the student’s attendance is dependent upon receiving a scholarship. Applicants should meet the following requirements:
1. Entering ninth to twelfth grade
2. GPA of 3.0 or higher
3. Previous leadership experience in clubs or other organizations
4. Family financial need.
The student’s application must be reviewed and accepted prior to being considered for financial assistance. This means the applicant will need to have sent in the completed application, two reference letters, and financial assistance forms. A non-refundable deposit of a $25 program fee will be requested upon receipt of a scholarship in lieu of the regular $100 deposit required of accepted applicants.

Financial assistance applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Scholarship award amounts vary from $150 to $725 and are dependent on the criteria listed above. A financial commitment will be required to cover any costs not covered by the amount of financial assistance awarded. These costs may include: the remainder of tuition, clothing needs for the week, transportation to and from the program, optional spending money, and any other extra needs.
