Tim Young is the Director of Development for the Shelton Leadership Center (SLC) and the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI). He serves as the chief development officer for these two units by providing leadership and strategic direction for all SLC and IEI fundraising activities.

Tim is a native North Carolinian, born in Raleigh, he grew up in Louisburg. He previously worked in development in Student Affairs at UNC-Chapel Hill and at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy. He received a bachelor’s degree from Campbell University, a master’s degree from NC State University, and a master’s degree from Duke University. He enjoys running, anything outdoors, spending time with family, and his dog.
